Philosophy

The philosophy of Child's Play is to provide children of many ages an area in which they can explore their imagination as well as build on the fundamental factors of child development.  Our program focuses on all areas of development: Physical, Social, Cognitive, and Emotional.  Through our "True and Creative Play" philosophy, children naturally learn about their world and how they fit into it.  They become creative problem solvers, and learn to "think outside the box."

About the Owner

Melanie Zajicek is originally from the suburbs of Chicago, IL.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with an emphasis on Early Childhood Development.  Melanie has spent the last 12 years as a preschool teacher, a nanny, and a mother. She has owned and operated Child's Play, Inc for the last 3 years.  Melanie is CPR certified and meets all qualifications of a preschool director.  Melanie believes in seeing children as individuals and strives to meet the individual needs of each child.
